If you’re planning a Cape Cod bachelorette weekend and looking for the inside scoop on how to make it really special, I’ve got some great ideas for you! As a yoga and Pilates instructor who grew up on Cape Cod and has lived here full-time for several years, I’ve spent a lot of time exploring the beaches, towns, and hidden gems that make this place so fun to visit. I also host private beach yoga and Pilates sessions for bachelorette groups, so over the years I’ve picked up a few favorite spots and experiences that always make the weekend memorable.

Whether you're organizing a full Cape Cod bachelorette party or simply looking for things to do for a Cape Cod bachelorette, here are some of my favorite ideas for planning the perfect weekend.

Start the Day with Beach Yoga or Pilates

One of my favorite ways to kick off a Cape Cod bachelorette party weekend is by hosting a private beach yoga or Pilates session for the group. There’s something really special about waking up on the Cape, grabbing a coffee, and walking down to the beach together as the day begins. The air is fresh with that salty ocean breeze, the beach is quiet, and it’s the perfect moment to slow down, stretch, breathe, and set the tone for the day ahead.

When I host bachelorette groups, we keep the session relaxed, lighthearted, and welcoming for everyone — no matter their experience level. It’s not about doing a “perfect” workout. It’s about laughing together, moving your body, breathing in the ocean air, and starting the day feeling refreshed and energized.

Many groups tell me it ends up being one of their favorite moments of the entire weekend before heading off to brunch, the beach, or exploring town.

Explore Chatham for Shopping, Lunch, and Ocean Views

Downtown Chatham is one of the prettiest towns on Cape Cod and a perfect stop during a Cape Cod bachelorette weekend. I always recommend strolling through the shops, grabbing coffee or ice cream, and walking down to Chatham Lighthouse Beach for photos with the bride and the group.

If you're looking for a beautiful lunch spot, the Chatham Bars Inn Beach House Grill has incredible ocean views and a great atmosphere for a celebratory meal.

Later in the evening, The Chatham Squire is a classic Cape Cod spot for dinner and drinks and always a fun place for groups celebrating a Cape Cod bachelorette party.

Spend the Afternoon at the Beach

No Cape Cod bachelorette weekend is complete without a beach day!

Some of my favorite beaches for groups include:

• Cold Storage Beach• Mayflower Beach• Chapin Beach• Crowe’s Pasture• Nauset Beach• Coast Guard Beach

If your group wants a little adventure, park at the Salt Pond Visitor Center and take the two-mile wooded trail to Coast Guard Beach in Eastham. It’s a beautiful walk and you end up at one of the most iconic beaches on the Cape Cod National Seashore. Bring towels, snacks, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon by the ocean.

Pro tip: There’s a free shuttle bus that will take you back to the parking lot if you want to walk one way to the beach and ride back.

Take a Lobster Boat Cruise at Sesuit Harbor

For something uniquely Cape Cod, many groups love taking a lobster boat cruise out of Sesuit Harbor in Dennis.

It’s a fun experience where you can enjoy an authentic lobster dinner while cruising around Cape Cod Bay. It’s also a perfect moment to raise a glass and toast the bride while enjoying the ocean views.

If you prefer to stay on land, you can enjoy a casual dinner al fresco at Sesuit Harbor Café, watching the boats go by while enjoying fresh seafood.

Pro tip: Feel free to bring your own bottle of wine or beer — it’s BYOB!

Live Music and Beach Days on the Outer Cape

If you're looking for fun things to do for a Cape Cod bachelorette, the Outer Cape has a lively and relaxed vibe that’s perfect for groups.

A trip to Wellfleet Harbor offers expansive bay views and a charming downtown area to explore. It’s a great place to walk around, grab an ice cream, and enjoy the Cape atmosphere.

The Pearl is also a fun restaurant that often has live music in the afternoons.

If your group is feeling more adventurous, the Beachcomber is a legendary Cape Cod spot known for its ocean views, live music, and energetic crowd. Also, a must stop is the Beachcomber store, to grab your iconic Beachcomber sweatshirt. Some groups even rent the Funk Bus, which will drive your group to the Beachcomber for a fun beach day together..

Drinks and dinner at the Pelham House resort

Lastly, if you're looking for a lively place to celebrate the bride, the Pelham House Resort in Dennisport has one of the best oceanfront bar scenes on Cape Cod. The rooftop and beach bar offer great cocktails, a fun atmosphere, and incredible sunset views over Nantucket Sound. It’s the perfect place to toast the bride and kick off the evening before heading out to dinner.

Watch the Sunset on the Bay Side

One of the most magical moments during a Cape Cod bachelorette weekend is watching the sunset over Cape Cod Bay. The water becomes calm and the sky turns beautiful shades of pink and orange.

Some of the best sunset beaches include Cold Storage Beach, Bayview Beach, Chapin Beach and Mayflower Beach in Dennis. Bring a blanket, relax with the bride and your friends, and enjoy the view.

A Perfect Cape Cod Bachelorette Weekend Itinerary

Many groups plan their weekend something like this:

Friday. Arrive on Cape Cod and enjoy dinner and drinks.

Saturday. Morning beach yoga or Pilates → brunch → beach day → sunset cocktails → dinner and dancing.

Sunday. Coffee, a walk on the beach, and a relaxed morning before heading home.

Cape Cod is the perfect destination for a bachelorette weekend filled with beach days, great food, and unforgettable memories with friends. Wishing you a magical Cape Cod bachelorette weekend — and I hope to see you on the beach!
